Building relationships with the local communities

2nd January 2020

Our Woodland View development in Polegate is incredibly special to us – it’s our first major scheme and we see it as the benchmark of what we want Greymoor to be known for. This extends to style (contemporary and quality), location (secluded but connected) and, probably most importantly, our core value of community.

We want to have a long-term commitment to our local communities and we take our role in helping to evolve them seriously. One of the building blocks of a community is the local school and so we are in the process of agreeing a partnership and project with a local junior school which we will talk about more in due course.

We are also building a comprehensive calendar of events, not just for Woodland View, but for all of our schemes as we bring them forwards. This means working with local schools, community groups and sports clubs to listen and learn about the areas in which we build; and use local businesses wherever possible to provide services.

Graham Morris, Managing Director of Greymoor, said: “One of the first things we do when we acquire a site is engage with the local community. Building homes helps to evolve communities and we feel strongly about helping to nurture them over the long-term. We also ensure that we use local businesses wherever possible for estate agency, marketing, printing, and other consultancies or services as we believe that this helps cement our commitment to the areas in which we build.'

Watch this space to find out more about our forthcoming community initiatives and new announcements.
